Lippengut organic farm and Lippenkasa Alpine hut
Genuine customs & tradition
Our Lippengut farm was first mentioned in the records of 1495, and has been owned by our family since 1933. The main stable and the farm buildings were re-built in 1990, and the Alpine hut was re-built in 2010. It has always been run as an organic farm, and has been regularly checked by the Salzburg Agricultural Inspection Authority since 1987. We always meet their requirements and quality criteria, which means we can guarantee, perfect, high-quality organic produce.
Homeward bound...
If the summer on the alm has gone well, the cattle are given an elaborate, home-made head decoration. Then it’s off home on foot. The cattle and their drivers arrive in St. Martin around 3 hours later. When they arrive at the farm, a lush meadow awaits the cattle. Enjoy the delicious, fresh organic hay milk provided by our happy cows, straight from our very own milk dispenser every day.
